denny lounger I just upgrade my abaqus from 6.5 to 6.6.1. and enconter the similar problem as you. do you have licence file?
If you install as a server, you need to have the licence file. If you install as a product, you need key in the licence sever ip.
But you'd better install or upgrade the licence sever before install a product in another PC. Because it will check the licence server and whether the version is correct.
Therefore, the corrrect step may be as following.
1. Install or upgrade your abaqus in your server PC
2. In your server PC, Reread licence file and start server in licence manage (LMTOOLS) and make sure reread file & start sever sucessulf.
3. Install or upgrade Abaqus in other PCs as product. and key in IP adress of sever PC when necessory.
