'feeding effectivity'
If you decided to calculate feeding ('yes'), enter at this point a value that defines the range of feeding. This value describes the solidified fraction of the melt up to which macroscopic feeding can occur. The solidified fraction is expressed in percent and is strongly dependent on the solidification morphology.
The default feeding effectivity is taken from the database for the according material. If the value is not defined in the material database, a default of '30%' is chosen. You can switch back to the default value by pressing the small 'd' button at the right end of the input field.
