SIMPACK is able to model wheel sets (where the wheels are interconnected by an arbor
transmitting torques) as well as single or independent wheels without this arbor. The modelling
concept, whether or not the wheels are connected by this arbor, is nearly the same.
We define „single wheels“ as two wheels situated on a shared axle or a similar mounting, but
without any torque transmission. On the other hand, „independent wheels“ are mounted on two
different devices which can move independently:
